Dumping file names to a file

I have a PC and a Mac that I work with, but mostly I use the Mac. Of course on the Mac, you can do a lot with the Terminal.app and Bash. For example, you can dump out a file listing into a text file: ls *.cpp > ../implementation_files.txt

When you guys want to send each other a long URL, make it tiny! Go to http://tinyurl.com/ and enter the long URL there and *POP*, out comes the tiny url that you can use instead! So, http://on-my-desk.blogspot.com/2007/02/jennifer-shiman.html turns into http://tinyurl.com/5fk9jv Another friendly advice message from the smartest guy on the block 🙂
